Taylor and Dunns

Taylor and Dunns is North Milwaukee restaurant, just north of Brown Deer in fact. It's an Irish place right on the border of Mequon and Thiensville.

It was too bright, and the furniture was not too comfortable, but the service was good for the most part.

I had a brat sandwich! The menu was OK, but nothing really struck me, so I decided to get something different. Two brats cut the long way on marble rye, toasted with grilled onions, kraut, and melted cheese. A side of super spicy brown mustard. This sandwich kicked ass. It sounds gross, it was messy to eat, and I smelled bad after, but it was really good, with nose clearing mustard.

My girlfriend had a 5 cheese cheese sandwich, which she didn't like. I finished it for her, it  was ok.

The fries were written as crinkle cut, they were not. I don't like crinkle cut, so I would have ordered them, instead I got onion rings. The onions rings were no good, they tasted like fried dough, and the fries were not good either, crinkle cut or not. They got cold super fast and soggy.

I would give this place 6/10, bump to 7/10 because it is up north more, and I expect less up there. Nice find just north of Brown Deer I would say.
